Architect (Authority Approvals & Codes)

 We are looking for a proactive Architect with strong expertise in preparing authority drawings and a solid understanding of building codes and regulatory frameworks. The candidate should also have knowledge of Buildnow software, enabling them to effectively collaborate with project teams and track compliance during the approval process.

Key Responsibilities

 • Prepare and coordinate authority drawings in line with statutory requirements.

 • Ensure compliance with NBC, zoning laws, fire safety codes, environmental and municipal by-laws.

 • Liaise with statutory authorities and consultants for smooth approval processes.

 • Incorporate authority comments and ensure drawings are First Time Right (FTR).

 • Maintain knowledge of Buildnow software workflows, supporting project teams in approval tracking and documentation.

 • Provide due diligence support during project feasibility and design stages.

 • Stay updated on evolving codes, DCRs, and regulatory practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

 • Strong grasp of building codes, by-laws, and statutory approvals.

 • Knowledge of Buildnow software (preferred for approvals tracking and documentation).

 • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other architectural design tools.

 • Accuracy in drawings and attention to compliance details.

 • Strong documentation and coordination abilities.

Qualifications

 • Bachelor’s in Architecture (B. Arch ).

 • 6+ years of experience in authority drawings, code compliance, and approvals.

 • Experience in residential projects will be an advantage.
