A&R Executive

As an A&R Executive at our music team in Kochi, your role is vital in identifying, evaluating, and nurturing music talent to bring promising songs to the forefront and develop them into successful projects. Your deep industry knowledge, sharp ear for potential, and exceptional relationship-building skills with artists will be key in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Artist Scouting & Relationship Management:** - Proactively engage with emerging and established artists across genres. - Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with artists, managers, and creative collaborators. - Act as the main point of contact for artists throughout the scouting and production lifecycle. - **Music Evaluation & Internal Presentation:** - Listen to demo submissions and unreleased music. - Curate tracks showing strong potential. - Present selected tracks to the internal Listening Panel for evaluation. - **Project Coordination:** - Coordinate formal meetings with the Head of the Music Team for approved songs. - Collaborate with legal, marketing, and production teams for a seamless artist experience. - **Artist Liaison Throughout the Project Lifecycle:** - Provide end-to-end support to artists from initial engagement to project launch. - Facilitate creative discussions, feedback loops, and logistical coordination. - Ensure artists feel valued, supported, and creatively free throughout the process. **Required Skills & Qualities:** - Exceptional ear for music and trend awareness - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Proven ability to maintain strong rapport with artists - Comfortable navigating creative and commercial conversations - Highly organized with attention to detail and timelines - Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments **Preferred Background:** - 13 years of experience in A&R, music management, or artist-facing roles - Strong industry network with indie and mainstream artists - Educational background in music, entertainment, media, or related field is a plus In this role, you will have hands-on involvement in shaping breakthrough music projects, work in a creative environment where your instinct and taste are trusted, and have opportunities to expand your network and influence in the industry.,
