Join our quality assurance team focused on supporting apparel manufacturing. You will play a crucial role in implementing QA/QC processes, coordinating inspections, and maintaining product quality standards by liaising with vendors. Your main responsibilities will include supporting the QA/QC team with inspections at various stages of production, such as fabric receiving, in-line checks, and final garment inspections. You will be required to meticulously record and report quality issues using defined checklists like AQL and defect logs. Additionally, you will need to follow up with vendors to address non-conformities and ensure that corrective actions are promptly implemented. Collaboration with production and design teams will be essential as you address quality concerns and strive to enhance quality metrics. Your role will also involve participating in vendor audits and factory visits, which may require occasional travel. Moreover, you will assist in updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other quality documentation to uphold quality standards. To excel in this role, you should hold a diploma or degree in Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or a related field. Strong observational skills, coupled with a basic understanding of garment manufacturing and textiles, will be beneficial. While knowledge of pattern-making, garment construction, and fabric terminology is advantageous, a grasp of QA concepts like AQL inspection and quality control charts is essential. Effective communication and vendor management skills in English, Hindi, or Gujarati are required. A willingness to travel for vendor coordination, including local site visits, is expected. Freshers and trainees are strongly encouraged to apply, with prior internship experience or relevant coursework considered a bonus.
