Applications Development Sr Programmer Analyst (Application Management)

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate-level role that involves collaborating with the Technology team to establish and implement new or updated application systems and programs. The primary goal of this position is to contribute to activities related to applications systems analysis and programming. Responsibilities: - Conduct tasks such as feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development to meet specific business needs - Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, testing, and implementation, and provide support to business users - Utilize specialized knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and recommend solutions - Recommend and implement security measures post-implementation to ensure system design effectiveness - Consult with users and technology groups, recommend programming solutions, and assist in system installation - Ensure adherence to essential procedures and assist in defining operating standards and processes - Act as an advisor to new or lower-level analysts, operate with limited direct supervision, and demonstrate independence of judgment - Serve as subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members - Assess risks in business decisions, prioritize the firm's reputation and compliance with laws, rules, and regulations Qualifications: - 8-10 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and programming - Experience in managing successful projects and applying consulting/project management techniques - Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to unexpected changes Education: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience This job description offers an overview of the work performed in the Applications Development field.
