Position Summary: As a Network Operations Center (NOC) Systems Specialist at AutoZone, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring the production environment, analyzing production issues and alerts, identifying root causes, and resolving Level 1 issues related to both On-Prem and Google Cloud hosted applications and batch jobs. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance NOC standard operating procedures, providing training to team members on resolving alerts and issues concerning cloud-hosted applications and batch jobs, and leading a team of engineers by offering technical guidance and necessary training to align with the NOC team's objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Review and comprehend application architecture in a hybrid cloud environment. - Develop and implement resolution processes for Level 1 and Level 2 production issues related to applications and infrastructure. - Support and maintain system health for servers running on RHEL, CENTOS, Solaris, and AIX across physical and virtual infrastructure. - Troubleshoot and remediate system-related issues, collaborating with other IT functional areas for issue resolution. - Configure and support middleware applications such as apache, tomcat, jboss, and content management. - Create and modify scripts and Ansible playbooks for automation purposes. - Provide end-user incident support while adhering to SLA requirements for issue resolution. - Assist in periodic disaster recovery exercises for Unix/Linux systems. - Monitor batch jobs and applications hosted in a hybrid cloud 24x7 and work in shifts. - Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance NOC operations continuously. - Train team members on resolving infrastructure-related issues and alerts. Requirements: - Proficiency in Mainframes and database technologies. - Hands-on experience with enterprise server operating systems like RHEL 6/7/8. - Operational support and problem-solving skills for Unix/Linux systems. - Basic fluency in scripting languages such as Bash or equivalent. - Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, traffic analysis, common protocols, and network diagnostics. - Familiarity with config management and automation tools like Git, Jenkins, Ansible, or Puppet. - Working knowledge of container technologies like docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with Postman and understanding of microservices architecture. - Troubleshooting expertise using Dynatrace. - Strong problem-solving and communication abilities. - Capability to work efficiently in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Education and/or Experience: - Bachelor's degree in information technology, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field is mandatory. - Minimum 7 to 9 years of experience in monitoring production environments and resolving Level 1 and Level 2 issues for applications and services hosted on both on-premises and public cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud. - Previous experience in establishing and documenting technology standards for a production support organization.
