Project Role Description :Lead the effort to design, build and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact.

Summary:A professional SAP SCM APO DP consultant with configuration, implementation, and support role for the Demand Planning component of SAP APO, with a strong focus on business process optimization, stakeholder communication, technical setup, and ongoing end-user support. Roles & Responsibilities:- Gather and analyze business requirements for demand planning, translate them into SAP APO DP solutions, and ensure alignment with supply chain goals.- Configure and support the SAP APO DP module, including Planning Areas, Planning Books, Characteristic Value Combinations (CVCs), forecasting profiles, macros, data realignment, statistical forecasts, and process chains.- Integrate APO DP with other SAP modules (e.g., SNP for Supply Network Planning, ECC for master data and transaction data through CIF).- Design and implement new processes for demand planning, lifecycle management, and promotional planning, using SAPs modeling and forecasting tools.- Monitor and optimize batch and background jobs related to DP, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis for system failures.- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT architects, and project teams globally to ensure effective solution design and rollout.- Document technical and functional requirements, prepare test scripts, and lead/participate in unit, integration, and regression testing for new implementations and enhancements.- Provide training and guidance to end-users and junior consultants, conduct workshops on SAP DP functionalities and best practices- Support master data setup and maintenance (products, locations, planning hierarchies).- Stay current with latest SAP developments and trends in supply chain management and demand planning, recommending improvements as needed- Collaborate and manage the team to perform.- Responsible for team decisions.- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards. Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of demand forecasting techniques, supply chain processes, and integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization, and the use of tools such as SAP BW, Tableau, or Power BI for reporting and analysis.- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions- Experience supporting cross-functional teams and global supply chain projects, with exposure to change management and user adoption.-
Must To Have Skills:Proficiency in SAP SCM APO Advanced Planning & Optimization.- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.- Experience with application design and architecture.- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues effectively.- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Additional Information:- Strong hands-on experience (typically 3+ years) in SAP SCM APO Demand Planning configuration and business process consulting, including at least one or more full-cycle SAP APO implementations.- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
