Application Developer

As an Application Developer on Russells Technology Application Dev team, you will be responsible for delivering highly scalable services and world-class product experiences. You will collaborate with team members to work on multiple layers of the technology stack, building full stack applications and services in a fast-paced, agile software development environment. Your role will involve incorporating Russell IT standards, tooling, and practices to enhance software code quality, performance, and delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Write high-quality, maintainable code following coding standards and best practices. - Develop and maintain software applications, features, and components. - Debug and fix software defects, performance issues, and technical problems. - Design and implement software solutions meeting project requirements. - Participate in architectural and system design of software projects. - Provide technical leadership and guidance in designing scalable and efficient software solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software solutions meet business and user requirements. - Analyse complex technical problems, propose effective solutions, and troubleshoot issues during development and deployment. - Stay updated on industry trends, evaluate new technologies, and maintain codebase while enforcing coding standards and best practices. - Write and maintain unit tests, collaborate with QA engineers for software testing, estimate project timelines, and contribute to project planning. - Continually improve technical skills, adhere to security best practices, comply with regulations, and optimize software performance. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related engineering field required; advanced degree preferred. - 5-15 years of Software Development experience required. - Good to have prior experience working in Finance domain (Investment bank, Asset Management firm, Hedge Fund).
