Must have skills : Cobol Mainframe Good to have skills : IBM CICS (Customer Information Control System), IBM DB2 Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary : As an Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. Your typical day will involve collaborating with the team to develop and implement solutions that address work-related problems. You will also actively participate in team discussions and contribute to providing solutions. With your expertise, you will become a subject matter expert and perform independently in your role, ensuring the successful delivery of applications. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. - Design, build, and configure applications based on business process and application requirements. - Collaborate with the team to develop and implement solutions. - Perform independent research and analysis to identify and resolve issues. - Ensure the successful delivery of applications. - Provide technical guidance and support to team members. - Continuously improve application performance and functionality. - Stay updated with industry trends and advancements. - Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application defects. - Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications. - Document application design, development, and maintenance processes. - Assist in the deployment and integration of applications. - Train end-users on the functionality and usage of applications. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills:Proficiency in COBOL. - Good To Have Skills:Experience with IBM CICS (Customer Information Control System), IBM DB2. - Strong understanding of software engineering principles and methodologies. - Experience in designing and developing applications using COBOL. - Knowledge of IBM CICS (Customer Information Control System) for application development. - Familiarity with IBM DB2 for database management. - Ability to analyze and troubleshoot application issues. - Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques. - Understanding of version control systems and code management tools. - Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in COBOL. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
