Appian Developer

Join this exciting team of Appian professional who perform change work on the Appian platform at one of the big banks in Europe. To secure this position you need to have a proven track record in Appian development. You will be required to work in squads under our customer's direction and have a level of familiarization with Agile methodologies. The work performed is in the change area, however you will be required to perform production verification testing of code you have created during the production release cycle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business partners to understand their needs and challenges, gathering requirements.
• Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, implement, maintain and enhance Appian based custom Business Process Management (BPM) workflows across the enterprise.
• Design and implement complex enterprise integrations with industry standard technologies including LDAP, Active Directory and other internal systems in the enterprise.
• Design and develop database objects to support BPM applications.
• Maintains database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems.
• Participate in workflow analysis and modelling utilizing SQL Server and SQL Management Studio.
• Translate BPM requirement specifications into Appian process model prototypes and solutions ensuring the highest quality and performance.
• Deliver projects in either Agile or Waterfall software development methodologies, as project dictates.
• Conduct and participate in detailed design reviews and validate that the design follows the approved architecture.
• Participate in the day-to-day activities of the Appian BPM development teams.
• The work is primarily in the development area; however, you will be required to perform production verification testing of code you have created during the production release cycle.
• Collaborate with application support teams throughout the development, deployment, and support phases.

Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in design, implementation and production support of Appian BPM workflow applications.
• Overall IT experience of 8+ years in Appian and related technologies.
• Appian Certified Senior Developer
• Strong understanding of RDBMS and experience in design and development of relational DB objects to support Appian applications.
• Hands-on development experience in building any/all Appian components including CDTs, SAIL programming, process modeler and WebAPIs.
• Experience of XML and web services (SOAP/REST).
• Highly analytical with good problem-solving skills and creativity.
• Good in handling Integration with 3rd party systems.
• Able to work independent in a fast-paced environment
• Positive individual with strong communication skills.
• Able to interface well with users and other development teams.
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with working in Agile Methodology
• Should have done complete end-to-end implementation for at least 3 projects.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent working experience.

Nice to have

• Experience defining and enforcing enterprise database standards and processes.
• Experience in tuning the system for performance improvements and performance related high volume of database.
• Experience with Appian product administration activities like new environment creation, environment management, Appian upgrades and related activities.
• Ability to work using CICD Technologies such as XLR, SonarQube, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub.
• Working experience on App Servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, etc. & Web Servers like Apache, etc.
• Knowledge on in-memory KDBs & engine sizing
