Job Description

Job purpose

  • We are seeking a qualified and experienced Psychologist to oversee, guide, and ensure quality implementation of the Mental Wellness Program delivered by on-ground psychologists and counselors. The role involves supervision, performance monitoring, quality assurance of counselling services, capacity building, and analysis of mental health data to ensure program fidelity and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Supervision

  • Regularly monitor and evaluate counselling sessions conducted by field team.
  • Review session documentation, psychometric data, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide structured feedback and support to improve counselling effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical practices, clinical protocols, and project-specific SOPs.

Capacity Building & Training

  • Identify training needs and conduct periodic skill enhancement sessions for the counselling team.
  • Organize refresher trainings on therapeutic approaches like CBT, DBT, crisis intervention, and use of psychometric tools.
  • Develop learning aids, SOPs, and support tools for continuous quality improvement.

Data Management & Analysis

  • Review data entries in Excel/software to ensure quality and completeness.
  • Analyze trends from psychometric assessments, counselling outcomes, and high-risk flagging.
  • Share insights to improve intervention strategies and inform decision-making.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare weekly/monthly monitoring reports on counselling performance, quality gaps, and follow-ups.
  • Document key challenges, success stories, and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Support in developing dashboards and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Field Engagement

  • Conduct field visits to assess ground realities and provide in-person support to psychologists.
  • Engage with college focal points and staff to gather feedback on counsellor performance and student outcomes.

Program Support

  • Collaborate with the operations team to improve implementation strategies.
  • Ensure integration of mental health outcomes into the broader program objectives.
  • Contribute to periodic review meetings and donor reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • MSc in Counselling Psychology; MSc in Clinical Psychology
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of psychometric assessments and therapeutic approaches (CBT, DBT).
  • Proven experience in monitoring, supervision, or training mental health practitioners.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and feedback-delivery skills.
  • High attention to detail with ability to synthesize data and provide actionable insights.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, report writing, and documentation.
  • Ability to travel within program sites in Pune/Navi Mumbai.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi (mandatory); Marathi is an added advantage.
