Description
The purpose of the role is to lead the DevOps team in order to enhance coordination among operations, development, and testing functions through automation and streamlining of integration and deployment processes. As a leader, you will be responsible for driving technical support to ensure continuous integration and deployment of technology in applications. You will design and define the overall DevOps architecture/framework for project/module delivery according to client requirements. Additionally, you will have the authority to decide on the DevOps tools and platforms to be deployed in alignment with customer needs. Your responsibilities will include creating a tool deployment model for testing, validating, and monitoring performance, as well as managing the IT infrastructure as per the supported software code requirement. You will be in charge of overseeing the DevOps pipeline across the toolchain, from planning and coding to testing, staging, release, configuration, and monitoring. Collaboration with the team to address coding and scripting requirements for software release and infrastructure connectivity will be essential to minimize disruptions. Integrating security throughout the dev-ops lifecycle to uphold data privacy and mitigate cyber risks is a critical aspect of the role. Providing customer support/service on DevOps tools, troubleshooting problems, performing root cause analysis, and developing alternative solutions are also key responsibilities. Timely escalation and resolution of complex issues, along with knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination within the team, will contribute to successful project outcomes. In terms of team management, you will be responsible for forecasting talent requirements, hiring the right resources, and training direct reports for effective recruitment and selection decisions. Talent management will involve ensuring compliance with onboarding and training standards, developing a talent pool, promoting diversity in leadership roles, setting performance goals, conducting appraisals, and addressing performance issues promptly and fairly. Employee engagement initiatives, tracking satisfaction scores, and promoting recognition and appreciation within the team are also part of your role.
