Job Description

Responsibilities

Assist anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in preparing and administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and medical procedures.

Prepare, calibrate, and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies to ensure readiness and compliance with safety standards.

Monitor patients' vital signs and reactions to anesthesia, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to the anesthesiologist.

Accurately document patient information and anesthesia details in medical records.

Ensure a sterile and organized environment in the operating room, following all infection control protocols.

Provide support during emergency situations, including life-saving measures under the guidance of medical professionals.

Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize patient care before, during, and after surgery.
Required Qualifications

Completion of a recognized Anesthesia Technician program or equivalent certification.

Current certification as an Anesthesia Technician (such as the ASATT Certification).

Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a surgical or critical care environment.

Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques, equipment, and patient monitoring.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.

CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
