Android HMI Engineer - Automotive IVI (AOSP)

As an Android HMI Engineer in the automotive industry, you will play a crucial role in our team dedicated to developing next-generation in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems. You will collaborate with the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) based automotive HMI team to design and integrate HMI layers that deliver engaging and responsive in-car user experiences. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement HMI layers and features tailored for Android Automotive/AOSP. - Develop and customize Android applications, services, and components to enhance user experience. - Provide input and suggestions to the design team and interface with middleware and HAL components for seamless vehicle data integration. - Optimize performance, memory usage, and boot time for HMI applications. - Debug and resolve issues in both existing and upcoming HMI applications. - Collaborate with platform, QA, design, and customer teams to ensure project success. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong expertise in Android Framework, AOSP, and Android SDK. - Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages. - Previous experience with HMI architecture in automotive IVI projects. - Understanding of Android application lifecycle, services, broadcast, and content providers. - Familiarity with Git, Android Soong & Gradle build system. - Knowledge of Vehicle HAL (VHAL) in Android Automotive. - Experience with CAN/LIN protocols. - Proficient in using performance profiling tools, logcat, ADB, and system debugging tools.
