Job Description: As an Android HMI Engineer in the automotive industry, you will be an integral part of our team focusing on the development of next-generation in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems. Your role will involve working with the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) based automotive HMI team to create and integrate HMI layers that offer rich interactive and responsive in-car user experiences. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing HMI layers and features specific to Android Automotive/AOSP, as well as developing and customizing Android applications, services, and components. You will collaborate closely with the design team to provide input and suggestions, and interface with middleware and HAL components for vehicle data integration. Additionally, optimizing performance, memory usage, and boot time for HMI applications will be a key focus area. Your role will also involve debugging and resolving issues related to both implemented and upcoming HMI applications. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including platform, QA, design, and customers, will be essential to ensure successful project outcomes. Required Skills: - Strong development experience in Android Framework, AOSP, and Android SDK. - Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages. - Experience with HMI architecture in automotive IVI projects. - Knowledge of Android application lifecycle, services, broadcast, and content providers. - Proficiency with Git and Android Soong & Gradle build system. - Understanding of Vehicle HAL (VHAL) in Android Automotive. - Familiarity with CAN/LIN protocols. - Experience with performance profiling tools, logcat, ADB, and system debugging tools. Soft Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. - Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Job Title: Quality Manager - Android STB About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our Android-powered Set-Top Boxes (STBs) for DTH & IPTV. This role will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the quality assurance process, from planning and execution to continuous improvement. Skills Required: Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Experience with automated testing tools, techniques and certification processes. Experience with scripting using Python. knowledge of Android operating system and its ecosystem. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Job Responsibilities : A. Testing Strategy Development & Execution : Design and implement testing strategies and test plans as per project/product. Collaborate with stakeholders to define quality metrics and benchmarks. Ensure that all aspects of the application are tested to deliver a high-quality, bug-free product as per timelines. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Set-Top Box Android TV features, including: User Interface (UI) testing Functional testing Performance testing Compatibility testing Regression testing System integration testing B. Test Automation : Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant tools and frameworks. Identify opportunities for automation and enhance existing automated testing processes. Understand and able to setup google CTS related tests. Knowledge of Appium C. Bug Identification and Tracking : Track defects status using JIRA and drive it to closer with timely follow-ups . Triaging between development and other teams for reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues. Participate in code reviews, grooming sessions and retro meetings for issue prioritization and reviews of release. Should have hands-on knowledge of Android studio and ADB tools. D. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test results, and bug reports. Prepare project status updates for internal teams and stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer /manager with a strong focus on Android TV testing Strong understanding of Android TV architecture, components, and APIs Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently 1 and as part of a team 2 Passion for quality and a strong attention to detail Additional Qualification: DTH, IPTV & OTT working knowledge. Experience with media streaming and playback technologies Experience with performance and load testing tools Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Groovy) Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Experience with test automation tools.
