Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Java and Kotlin.
Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Android development.
Strong proficiency in
Java
and
Kotlin
.
In-depth understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
Experience with
RESTful APIs
to connect Android applications to back-end services.
Familiarity with
MVVM/MVP/MVI
architecture.
Experience with
Jetpack components
,
Room
,
LiveData
,
ViewModel
, etc.
Proficient in using tools like
Android Studio
,
Git
,
Gradle
, and
JIRA
.
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (Retrofit, Glide, Dagger/Hilt, Firebase, etc.).
Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
Experience with CI/CD tools is a plus.
Published one or more Android apps on the Google Play Store is a plus.
