As a Mobile Software Engineer, youll be a key contributor on the Pay mobile team, helping to develop secure and scalable Android applications that power seamless payment experiences for businesses and their customers. It provides integrated payment solutions across a variety of industries, and our mobile apps play a vital role in delivering intuitive, reliable, and compliant transaction flows. This is an exciting opportunity for early-to-mid-level engineers who are passionate about Android development, fintech innovation, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development best practices. • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to implement features and improve user experience in mobile payment flows. • Work with APIs and SDKs to ensure secure and efficient communication between mobile clients and backend payment systems. • Apply clean code principles, architecture patterns like MVVM, and use tools like Jetpack libraries to build maintainable codebases. • Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and technical discussions to drive high-quality software delivery. • Stay current with Android development trends, security best practices, and compliance requirements relevant to fintech and payment applications. Qualifications • 3-5 years of Android development experience using Kotlin • Solid understanding of the Android SDK, Jetpack components, and UI development. • Experience with RESTful APIs, mobile security concepts, and secure data handling. • Familiarity with tools like Retrofit, Room, Coroutines, and Dependency Injection frameworks (e.g., Hilt/Dagger). • Experience working in a collaborative environment with Git and Agile methodologies. • Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset. Preferred Qualifications • Exposure to Jetpack Compose for building modern UIs. • Experience working on fintech or payments-related mobile apps. • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, Gradle, or Bitrise. • Knowledge of PCI compliance or mobile security standards. • Interest in digital payments, mobile commerce, and financial technology innovation.
