Oversee financial aspects of trading activities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the bank's trading book.
Reconcile daily profit and loss (P&L) figures for trading desks to align with valued positions in the trading book.
Support identification, assessment, and mitigation of trading risks, reporting these financial risks to senior colleagues.
Maintain and analyze trading data, providing insights on trading performance to traders and senior colleagues.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports to authorities, addressing auditor queries and ensuring accurate representation of trading activities in financial statements.
Communicate complex financial information effectively to traders, risk professionals, senior colleagues, and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Finance/Accounting qualification or degree; CA is preferable but not compulsory.
Possess good financial acumen, accounting, and reporting skills.
Demonstrate the ability to understand and analyze financial information, including balance sheet and P&L accounts.
Have basic knowledge of IFRS9 and Financial instruments.
Exhibit strong Excel skills and the ability to handle large sets of data and quickly learn financial systems such as SAP, Hyperion, Alteryx, etc.
Be willing to simplify processes, build controls, and manage risk within the team.
Be accountable, operate independently, and resolve issues.
Possess good communication, attitude, and intent to learn.
Demonstrate excellent leadership behaviors, including listening and being authentic, energizing and inspiring others, aligning across the enterprise, and developing others.
Take responsibility for end results of a teams operational processing and activities, escalating breaches of policies/procedures appropriately.

Demonstrate understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the organization's objectives.
Make evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail.
Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and be guided by precedents.
Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex/sensitive information.
Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside the team and external to the organization.
