Job Title: Pre-Sales Consultant Data Security & Privacy Location: Chennai Department: Pre-Sales Reporting To: Technical Director Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Pre-Sales Consultant (Mid-Level) to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the sales cycle by providing expert-level guidance on data security and data privacy solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical capabilities and client business needs, articulating the value and fit of our offerings to prospects and existing clients. Key Responsibilities: Engage with customers to understand their data protection, compliance, and privacy requirements. Recommend tailored solutions aligned with business objectives and regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.). Provide in-depth technical support on data security products such as Data Classification , DLP (Data Loss Prevention), Encryption, Tokenization, and privacy-enhancing technologies. Deliver compelling product presentations, demos, and proofs of concept (PoCs) to both technical and business stakeholders. Respond to technical sections of RFPs, RFIs, and other procurement documentation. Stay up-to-date on data security/privacy trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies. Required Qualifications: 3 to 6 years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or a technical consulting role, preferably within the data security or cybersecurity domain. Strong understanding of Data Security and Data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and their technical implications. Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2). Experience with leading security platforms or solutions such as Fortra, Forcepoint Microsoft Purview, Big ID, One Trust, Varonis, or similar. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CIPT, CIPP/E, CIPM ,CISSP, CCSP, etc Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) etc Experience in PoC execution and solution architecture. Strong documentation and proposal-writing skills.
