AML Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Conduct thorough analysis of customer transactions to identify potential AML risks and suspicious activities.
• Review and assess alerts and cases generated
• Provide justification on decision and outcome of investigation
• Meet or exceed Service Level Agreement
• Ensure process and procedures are followed throughout the investigation
• Resolve and/or escalate complex matters to the Manager/ Business Heads in a timely manner and ensure closure of issue
• Take responsibility for keeping the team informed on policy/ procedural/operational/training issues
• Develop and maintain effective transaction monitoring processes to detect fraudulent activities in real-time.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to investigate alerts, escalating high-risk cases as necessary.
• Provide expert advice on AML regulations, policies, and procedures to support business operations.

Job Requirements :

• 5-8 years' experience in Transaction Monitoring, Anti Money Laundering (AML) 
• Strong understanding of AML regulations, laws, and industry standards (e.g., FATF).
• Proficiency in transaction monitoring systems and tools (TMS/TTM).
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets.
