About the team This hire is for a newly formed, ‘Climate Studio’ team at Alt Carbon, in Bangalore. We have classic 0-1 problems to solve. Climate change is real. We’re on a mission to remove 5 million tonnes of CO2 by 2030. Every organisation must play its part to meet net-zero emissions by 2050. About the role The Content editor will report to the Head of Brand. This is a hands-on role, and will involve writing, editing, creative thinking, and ideating on strategies to make climate change real and actionable. The content will be primarily for our external owned media channels, helping build the brand quotient for Alt Carbon. The ideal candidate should be adept at creative writing, comfortable with writing, and manage production end-to-end. The person will also have an additional hire to assist in our content efforts. At Alt Carbon, we believe content is the mainstay of our brand strategy. The Climate Studio team will be driven wholly by content and use it as the lever to shape our brand. Therefore, this is a critical hire that will shape the brand in the coming years. What you will do Owning all content that goes out from Alt Carbon on the website, social media, videos, blogs, research reports, bylined articles Elevate the quality of content, ideate, strategize on content to enhance branding efforts Set an editorial strategy to ensure content is consistent and compelling Conceptualise campaigns across all social media Write bylined articles that are forward-looking with regard to climate change, and policies Measure and analyse what’s working and what isn’t, with regard to the brand’s content marketing efforts Chart out an editorial strategy to ensure consistent and compelling storytelling Measure and analyse what’s working and what isn’t, with regard to the brand’s content marketing efforts. What you will need Should have at least 5+ years experience - samples of past work is mandatory . The ability to use data and research to shape a narrative - samples of past work helps. Your role will involve designing and validating mathematical models related to mineral weathering, geochemical fluxes, and carbon sequestration. You will work collaboratively with various teams to transform complex physical data into accurate CDR figures and contribute to the development of registry-grade carbon accounting methods. As a hands-on pyrolysis specialist, your primary responsibility will be to design, optimize, and operate biochar production processes at an industrial scale. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to plant design and commissioning to ensure scalability from pilot to commercial capacity. - Optimize pyrolysis processes for yield, energy efficiency, and carbon stability. - Assess pyrolysis technologies, equipment vendors, and partners to select the best-fit solutions. - Establish SOPs, ensure compliance with safety standards, and troubleshoot operational issues for smooth plant operations. - Monitor process data to support carbon credit measurement, reporting, and verification. - Explore co-products (syngas, bio-oil) utilization and drive process improvements. - Be hands-on at sites, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and quick decision-making. - Mentor engineers/technicians to build a high-performance operations team.
