What we are looking for

Role: Linux AIX Admin

Experience Range: 5 – 8 Years

Location: Bangalore

Interview: Saturday Online Interview

Must Have:

Hands on experience in RHEL, AIX, Openshift

Good to Have:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in any of the above Operating systems

Essential:

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with RHEL and IBM AIX administration.
Work experience in Openshifts environment
Strong knowledge of LVM, file systems, and network configuration.
Familiarity with PowerVM, HMC, and virtualization concepts.
Experience with patching, hardening, and performance tuning.
Basic knowledge of storage integration (SAN/NAS).

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment (rotational shifts).
Perform day-to-day administration of RHEL and AIX servers.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
Apply OS patches, firmware updates, and kernel upgrades.
Provide Level 2 support for escalated issues from Level 1.
Troubleshoot system performance, disk space, and network connectivity issues.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software fixes.
Monitor system health using tools like
Nagios
,
IBM NMON
, or
Red Hat Insights
.
Analyze logs and optimize system performance.
Ensure backup jobs run successfully and perform restore tests.
Support disaster recovery drills.
Develop and maintain scripts in
Shell
,
Python
, or
Ansible
for routine tasks.
Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and changes.

Minimum Qualification:

15 years of full-time education
Minimum percentile of 50% in 10th, 12th, UG & PG (if applicable)
