Aircraft Structure Repair Engineer (Design)

Role Overview: As an Aircraft Structure Repair Engineer (Design and/or Stress) at Airbus India Private Limited in Bengaluru, your main responsibility is to ensure the timely return-to-service of commercial aircraft by providing optimal structural repair solutions from a design and/or stress perspective. Key Responsibilities: - Search for the right inputs to assess a given damage scenario, query the appropriate aircraft configuration drawings, and utilize hand calculations/computer methods. - Propose and analyze structural repair solutions for airlines, liaising with stakeholders such as Design, Stress/Fatigue, Materials, and Performance to validate methods and data used for making the aircraft airworthy again. Define maintenance programs as necessary. - Prepare technical justification documents (Design and/or Stress) and secure approval for the proposed solutions. - Identify and support local improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and timely response, effective monitoring, and reporting. Qualifications Required: - Ability to address real-world in-service structural issues on aircraft. - Proficiency in technical concepts related to structural design and/or stress analysis, including F&DT. - Collaboration skills with the ability to work independently under pressure and make quick yet informed decisions. - Flexibility to work in a diverse, multi-cultural, and international team environment.
