Air and Ocean Import and Export Specialist

As an Air Import and Export Executive, you will be responsible for managing air freight shipments for import and export. Your key duties will include preparing and processing shipping documentation such as Airway Bills, Invoices, and Packing Lists. It will be crucial for you to ensure customs compliance by liaising with customs brokers and coordinating with airlines, freight forwarders, and clients to arrange shipments. In this role, you will monitor the status of shipments and provide timely updates to clients and internal teams. Negotiating rates with airlines and service providers to effectively manage costs will be an essential part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be expected to resolve any issues or delays in shipments, handle customer complaints, and maintain accurate shipment records while ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards. Tracking and reporting shipment performance and costs will be another aspect of your job, along with offering cost-effective shipping solutions to clients. To excel in this position, you should have 2-3 years of experience in air freight/logistics, a solid understanding of customs procedures, air freight regulations, and shipping documentation, and possess strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office will also be beneficial for carrying out your duties effectively.,
