AI Research Intern

**Role Overview:** You will be working as an intern at Raven, a YC-backed startup, focusing on building AI assistants for manufacturing plants in Bangalore. Your main responsibility will be to push the boundaries of applied AI for complex industrial data. **Key Responsibilities:** - Experiment with open-source and commercial AI models in vision, OCR, and LLMs. - Fine-tune models on custom datasets and assess their performance on real-world tasks. - Prototype workflows that integrate perception (symbols, text, layouts) with reasoning (graphs, classifications). - Assist in the design and execution of benchmarks to evaluate accuracy, efficiency, and deployment readiness. - Collaborate closely with the core team to convert research findings into production-ready components. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong Python skills and proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow. - Previous exposure to training or fine-tuning ML models, either through academic projects or internships. - Demonstrated curiosity and persistence in exploring multiple approaches, analyzing results, and iterating quickly. - Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations where problems are open-ended and datasets are unstructured. - Bonus: Familiarity with YOLO/Ultralytics, MMDetection, Detectron2, Hugging Face, or OCR libraries. **Additional Details:** At Raven, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact AI problems in an area that is still relatively unexplored by modern ML techniques. You will have access to real industrial datasets such as documents, diagrams, and logs, which are not easily accessible elsewhere.
