AI Engineering Lead

Role Overview: You will be part of a team that is redefining how children explore and learn in a connected world. As the Founding AI Engineering Lead, you will have a pivotal role in bringing this mission to fruition right from the beginning. Key Responsibilities: - Designing and architecting the AI/ML stack - Setting the technical direction of the company - Fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) for child-friendly interactions - Training LLMs on multimodal datasets - Evaluating different models for performance and scalability - Prototyping conversational behaviors - Implementing trustworthy AI practices - Ensuring data security and privacy compliance - Building ML pipelines with MLOps best practices - Planning for scalability across different environments - Collaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications Qualifications Required: - At least 5 years of experience in AI/ML/NLP, with a focus on LLMs for at least 1 year - Proven track record of fine-tuning, training, and optimizing LLMs - Deep understanding of transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and generative models - Strong Python skills with experience in PyTorch, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, and Weights & Biases - Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks, cloud platforms, privacy-preserving techniques, alignment techniques, MLOps tooling, and containerization - Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, early-stage environment Additional Details: Having experience in building conversational agents, interactive storytelling tools, or child-facing applications, familiarity with speech-to-text, voice synthesis, or multimodal learning, and knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation and regulatory frameworks will be considered as bonus points.
