Role & responsibilities

AI Engineer

You will design and deploy AI-driven automation for:

• End-to-end

  video content encoding and ingestion

  .
• Seamless

  delivery integrations

  (Aspera, Media Shuttle, FTP, and more).

• Genre mapping and metadata automation

  to ensure discoverability.

• Video quality review systems

  powered by machine learning.

• Closed caption (CC) automation

  including multilingual generation.

• Audio-Video-CC mismatch detection

  to guarantee flawless playback.

Preferred candidate profile

• Build AI models and automation pipelines for video encoding, ingestion, and quality assurance.
• Integrate with content delivery platforms (Aspera, Media Shuttle, FTP, etc.) for frictionless ingestion.
• Automate metadata classification and genre mapping to streamline content discoverability.
• Develop AI systems to generate, validate, and synchronize closed captions (including multilingual).
• Create intelligent tools for audio/video/CC alignment and mismatch detection.
• Partner with content, operations, and engineering teams to scale automation globally.
• Ensure systems are production-grade, reliable, and capable of handling thousands of titles monthly.
  

What Youll Bring

• Strong background in

  AI/ML, computer vision, NLP, or multimedia systems

  .
• Proficiency in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and programming languages (Python, C++/Java).
• Experience with video encoding workflows, file formats, and streaming standards such as FFmpeg, video codecs (H.264, H.265, AV1), packaging (HLS, DASH).
• Hands on experience on

  Automation & Data

  : Workflow orchestration and big data tools.
• Experience with

  QA & Content Integrity

  : Automated QC, perceptual video quality metrics (VMAF, SSIM).
• Knowledge of content delivery protocols (Aspera, Media Shuttle, FTP, S3, cloud transfers and more).
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, etc)
• A problem-solver’s mindset with the ability to design automation that scales globally.
• Bonus: experience in media tech, subtitle automation, or streaming pipelines.
• Collaboration Tools: Git, Jira, CI/CD pipelines.
