As a Certification Officer in the field of Organic Agriculture, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the impartiality, reliability, and relevance of certification decisions. This involves performing thorough reviews to check the pertinence, adequacy, and effectiveness of evaluation tasks and their results. It is crucial to ensure that the certification process is not influenced by any particular interests. Based on your reviews, you will be expected to issue recommendations for certification decisions. In addition to performing reviews, you will also be responsible for making certification decisions. This includes granting, extending, renewing, maintaining, reinstating, denying, reducing, suspending, or withdrawing certifications as needed. You will need to motivate, formulate, and effectively communicate these certification decisions. Handling appeals related to certification decisions will also be part of your role. Another key aspect of your job will involve attesting the certification status by issuing detailed certification documents that outline the scope of the certification. You will also be tasked with maintaining a directory listing of certified products and their certification status. Additionally, you will need to collect and analyze information that questions the validity of the certification provided. To excel in this role, you should hold a Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Agriculture Science, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or related fields. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required. Technical skills such as knowledge of organic and agricultural practices, exceptional communication abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, attention to detail, time management, and basic MS Office knowledge are essential. In terms of behavioral skills, you should possess a global vision and professional judgment, demonstrate courage and effective decision-making, exhibit agility and adaptability, showcase strong communication and interpersonal skills, display proactivity and creativity, demonstrate diligence, and excel in organization and anticipation. The remuneration for this position will be as per industry standards, and the type of contract offered is full-time. Key Responsibilities: Manage Grievance Redressal: Take appropriate actions to address and resolve member grievances received through VCG/MRG meetings, phone calls, or other feedback channels. Drive Membership & Capital Contribution: Achieve targeted membership enrollment and capital contribution by organizing village meetings, enrolment campaigns, and special drives, and verifying member credentials. Strengthen Member Relations: Establish and manage Member Relations Groups (MRGs) and Village Contact Groups (VCGs), conduct orientations, organize meetings, and ensure effective communication with milk producer households. Oversee Program Delivery & Field Engagement: Ensure the quality delivery of producer awareness programs (e.g., Quality and Clean Milk Production, women's programs) and actively participate in field-level campaigns to stay abreast of developments. Support Database Management & Governance: Build and maintain a comprehensive producer member database, focusing on achieving targets for women members, and assist in organizing the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Monitor & Report Progress: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual physical and financial plans, targets, and achievement reports for the respective area, and attend all relevant review meetings. Education: Required (Mandatory): Minimum Bachelors Degree or equivalent, Preferable MSW/MA in Sociology/ Women Studies and Management Desired: Masters in Rural development / Rural Science/Agriculture Science Experience: Previous experience in farmers Education cum training programmes especially in Dairy sector.
