Location: Gandhidham, Gujarat

Salary: ₹22 Lakh per annum (Negotiable as per experience)
Experience Required: Minimum 15 years (ERW Pipe / Steel Tube Industry)

Position Overview:

The incumbent will lead the Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) functions for the ERW Pipe Manufacturing Unit, ensuring all production meets customer and regulatory standards. Responsible for maintaining product consistency, implementing quality systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Quality Control & Quality Assurance department for the ERW pipe mill.
• Ensure compliance with API / IS / ASTM / EN standards and customer specifications.
• Supervise and control inspection of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality management systems (QMS) and ISO documentation.
• Oversee calibration, testing, and inspection of ERW tubes (NDT, hydro test, mechanical, chemical).
• Review mill test certificates (MTCs), inspection reports, and ensure traceability documentation.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and dispatch teams for quality improvement and rejection control.
• Interact with third-party inspectors (e.g., Lloyds, BVQI, TUV, RINA, SGS, etc.) for inspection and certification.
• Handle customer audits, technical complaints, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure proper upkeep and calibration of laboratory and testing equipment.
• Train and mentor QC team members to maintain high technical and process discipline.
• Prepare and present monthly quality performance reports to management.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering
• Experience: 15+ years in Quality Control of ERW Pipe / Tube / Steel Manufacturing Industry
• Technical Expertise:
• Familiar with ERW process, raw material (coil) inspection, welding parameters, NDT testing
• Knowledge of hydro testing, ultrasonic testing (UT), eddy current, mechanical testing, and galvanizing quality
• Good understanding of API / IS / EN / ASTM codes and customer-specific quality requirements
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and documentation skills
• Certifications Preferred: ISO 9001 / API Q1 / NDT Level II

CTC Offered: ₹22 Lakh per annum (Negotiable)
