About Us: At Agastyx Labs, we are not just building robots; we are engineering the future of smart home sector and manufacturing industry.. We are a bootstrapped startup with a bold vision to solve critical challenges through intelligent automation. As a foundational member of our R&D team, you will not just execute a plan-you will breathe intelligence and autonomy into our hardware. Your Mission: To be the engineer of our robot's mind. You will give our hardware the ability to perceive, understand, and intelligently navigate the complexities of the real world. You will build the full AI software stack that transforms a sophisticated machine into an autonomous, task-solving partner. Key Responsibilities: Perception Systems: Develop and implement robust algorithms for 3D perception, fusing data from LiDAR, depth cameras, and RGB cameras to achieve high-fidelity scene understanding, object detection, and tracking. Localization & Mapping (SLAM): Implement and fine-tune state-of-the-art SLAM algorithms to enable our robots to operate reliably in dynamic and unstructured environments. Autonomous Navigation: Design and deploy the complete navigation stack, including global and local motion planning, obstacle avoidance, and path execution. Behaviour & Decision Making: Develop the logic (e.g., Behavior Trees, State Machines) that governs the robot's actions, allowing it to complete complex tasks autonomously and safely. Hardware-Software Integration: Work in close collaboration with the Robotics Engineer to integrate the AI stack with the robot's hardware, ensuring real-time performance and optimal use of sensors and actuators. Simulation & Testing: Build and utilize simulation environments (e.g., Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim) for rapid algorithm development, testing, and validation before deploying on physical hardware. Deployment: Optimize and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to run efficiently on embedded computing platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson). Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, or a related field. 1 years of professional experience in AI software development. Expert proficiency in AI frameworks and Libraries, Python and strong proficiency in C++. Hands-on, project-based experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS or ROS 2). Strong experience with robotics libraries such as OpenCV, Point Cloud Library (PCL). Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow). Preferred Qualifications (The "Nice-to-Haves"): PhD in a relevant field. Experience with sensor fusion techniques (e.g., Kalman Filters). Experience with modern robotics software stacks (e.g., Nav2). Experience deploying AI models on edge devices. Contributions to open-source AI projects or publications in top-tier AI conferences. Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced R&D environment. What We Offer: The opportunity to be a foundational member of the R&D team, with immense impact on the product and company culture. A fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative work environment. Access to cutting-edge technology and tools. Flexible working hours and a hybrid work model. Your compensation will be reviewed after your first year based on your performance. We offer a starting salary package of 1.5 LPA , based on your experience and skills. Our Mutual Commitment: As a foundational member of our team, your role is critical to our success. We ask for a two-year commitment to build our vision together, and in return, we're deeply invested in your growth and success from day one. If this sounds like the right challenge for you, take the next step by emailing your CV to careers@agastyx.com .
