Role Overview

As a Shopify Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless online shopping experiences and ensure the smooth functioning of Shopify-based websites. This role demands proficiency in web development, front-end technologies, and e-commerce best practices to enhance user engagement and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, customize, and maintain Shopify-based e-commerce websites, ensuring they align with clients requirements and brand guidelines
• Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces that optimize user experience and conversion rates
• Customize Shopify themes to meet design and functionality specifications, including layout, navigation, and product presentation
• Implement and modify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create visually appealing and functional web pages
• Integrate and configure Shopify apps to enhance website functionality, such as payment gateways, inventory management, and marketing tools
• Ensure seamless communication between Shopify and third-party systems
• Monitor and optimize website performance, including page load times, site speed, and mobile responsiveness
• Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and visibility
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring website functionality across various browsers and devices
• Perform routine maintenance and updates to keep the website secure and up-to-date
• Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver projects on time and within budget
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team and clients
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including coding standards, development processes, and system configurations
• Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends, Shopify updates, and web development technologies to recommend improvements and innovations

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience in Shopify development, including theme customization and app integration
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid
• Familiarity with web design principles, responsive design, and UX/UI best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics
