Job Description

As a QA Lead, your primary responsibility involves leading and mentoring a team of QA testers. You will be tasked with developing comprehensive test strategies and plans while ensuring the establishment and maintenance of quality standards and best practices. Collaboration with development, product management, and other stakeholders is essential to guarantee quality throughout the development lifecycle. Your role will also include the development of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Additionally, you will be required to review the team's work regularly and provide reports on test progress, quality metrics, and defect status to stakeholders. Overseeing the execution of both manual and automated tests, tracking and managing defects, and ensuring their proper documentation and resolution are crucial aspects of your position. Identifying and mitigating risks related to product quality and enhancing existing automation scripts to increase automation test coverage for regression testing will also fall under your responsibilities. For QA Testers, effective team collaboration with all stakeholders is key to ensuring no requirements gaps exist and that acceptance criteria is finalized to achieve maximum test case coverage. During sprint cycles, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing test cases with leads and developers to align with test case coverage. Test execution involves creating test cycles for sanity, regression, and smoke testing across various environments to confirm stability, expected behavior of user stories, and ensuring no impact on existing site functionalities due to changes or fixes. Furthermore, you will be accountable for identifying, documenting, and tracking defects throughout the development process, documenting resolutions with test evidence, and completing test execution reports before code is moved to preprod and production. Executing the automation regression suite for each release, handling any ad-hoc testing requests, and working on automation script maintenance and development periodically are also essential tasks for QA Testers to align with the team lead effectively.,
