Advisory Consultant

As an Advisory Consultant within the Dell Technologies organization, aligned to Consulting Service Delivery, you will provide consultative business and technical delivery services for a range of complex customer-facing consulting engagements, in partnership with Global Pre-Sales, Account Management and Solutioning Teams. Specifically, you will be part of projects deploying, administering and configurating digital transformation software stacks.

Also, as one of the senior-most technical members of the Services Delivery team, for the Digital Transformation Practice, you will work alongside other Dell badged Consultants, to earn the customer s trust through competence, technical acumen, consulting expertise, and partnership. You would also be responsible for providing guidance/oversight to these individuals and technical grooming activities for their skill upgrading. This position requires a dynamic individual with expert customer-facing skills, leadership qualities and forecasting abilities for a particular technology and its lifecycle. The ability to guide customers and communicate technical processes and ideas is essential. These engagements often ensure that the customer is also enabled in the technologies being delivered.

  Explore the complex IT landscape of our customers to understand their Data and Analytics opportunities.
• Become an agent of change within customer organizations, aiding Digital Transformation.
• Collaborate to architect unified Data Management strategies and help implement end-to-end data engineering pipelines encompassing collection, ingestion, storage, analytics and delivery.
• Support Advisory Consultants, Senior Principal Engineers and Senior Solution Architects in working with Sales, Pre-Sales, GTM and Customers in a semi-sales role, providing competency and help towards deal closures.

  Essential Requirements

  Overall 12+ years of experience in the IT Industry, with preferably a graduation degree in computer science or engineering. Minimum 5+ years of working knowledge and hands-on experience with big data technologies, preferably Hadoop and Spark.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the popular languages - Python/Java/Scala. Proficiency in SQL and query optimization. Knowledge of distributed querying solutions like Trino is a plus.
• Hands-on experience at developing scalable and reliable cloud-based (public/private/hybrid) applications.
• Experience in relational, document and graph databases preferably MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and/or Neo4j. Knowledge of other systems such as Kafka, Redis, etc. is a plus.
• Experience in Generative AI tools and techniques such as LLM, MLLM, Prompt Engineering, RAG, Fine Tuning, etc. will be preferable, along with hands-on understanding of AIOps/MLOps technologies such as Kubernetes, KubeFlow, MLFlow, run:ai, Hugging Face, etc..

• Desirable Requirements

  Working knowledge of orchestration tools such as Airflow and DBT.
• Experience with Data Governance solutions like Alation, Collibra, etc.
