As a Data Science Consultant at ZS, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute high-impact analytics solutions for large, complex, structured, and unstructured data sets to help clients make better fact-based decisions. You will work on applying numerical optimization techniques on large, unstructured data sets, collaborate with engineering teams to deploy optimization-based solutions, and play a key role in developing data science capabilities for solving problems. Your role will involve leading conversations with clients and stakeholders, evaluating emerging datasets and technologies, and contributing to thought leadership through research and publications. Additionally, you will guide and manage project teams of Associates/Associate Consultants. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute and lead application of numerical optimization techniques on large, unstructured data sets to solve problems - Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy optimization-based solutions on datasets of large dimensionality - Lead development of data science capabilities for solving problems and offerings - Evaluate emerging datasets and technologies, define the analytic platform, and develop select assets/accelerators - Contribute to thought leadership through research and publications - Guide and manage project teams of Associates/Associate Consultants **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field - 6 - 9 years of relevant experience - Strong theoretical and applied understanding of linear programming, convex optimization, non-linear programming, and other optimization topics - Experience with data science concepts and algorithms - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/R - Understanding of relevant tools/platforms in ML/data engineering - Team management and skill development experience - Agile project planning and project management experience - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Strong attention to detail and research-focused mindset - Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills - High motivation, good work ethic, and maturity ZS offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health and well-being, financial planning, annual leave, personal growth, and professional development.
