Role Overview: As a Data Steward at Invesco, your role will involve executing the defined data strategy and roadmaps to enhance the quality, availability, and usability of the domain data. You will work in partnership with business and technology stakeholders to ensure consistency of services and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include identifying, researching, and remedying data quality issues, creating processes to prevent recurrence, and measuring continual improvement in data quality. Your contribution as a Data Steward is crucial to enable and track progress against Invesco's strategy of trustworthy data, which is foundational for delivering a superior investment and client experience. Key Responsibilities: - Provide support for various Data Domains. - Make proactive suggestions regarding product usability, presentation, and data quality. - Continually learn through formal and self-guided channels to enhance understanding of data management, Invesco, and the industry. - Ensure integrity of data and run day-to-day activities necessary to produce, validate, and deliver quality data to consuming functions and systems. - Identify, escalate, and resolve data issues proactively. - Work on projects to improve subject matter expertise. - Provide insights on issues and errors, proposing solutions. - Collaborate with Data Product Owners to provide Data Analysis support for development and research efforts. - Analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity. - Define, standardize, measure, and monitor data quality metrics. - Develop reports and dashboards for data quality health checks by senior leaders. - Provide reporting of start-of-day data quality checks and track issue resolution. - Identify CDEs and maintain the data dictionary aligned with standardized fields and definitions. Qualifications Required: - 1-3 years of relevant experience. - BA/BS in a relevant field. - Natural curiosity and a strong desire to learn, ask questions, and share ideas. - Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, demonstrate initiative, and meet deadlines. - Proficiency in desktop tools for analytics and communication. - Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and exercising independent judgment. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Advanced level SQL and Excel skills. - Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. - Knowledge of data, analysis, and processes related to asset classes and products. - Technical and business background in investments data, particularly in asset management or financial services. - Client-first mindset and a proactive, execution-oriented approach. - Good relationship building, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
