Here are some Skill Sets required for admission counsellor roles: Strong communication This is an important skill that fits an admission counsellor's job description. As an admission counsellor, you need to be able to effortlessly communicate with aspiring students and their families to provide adequate information about the school’s programs, scholarship options, and admission requirements. Organisational skills This is another important skill a counsellor should possess. It helps counsellors to be able to handle multiple applications at the same time. These skills help a counsellor keep track of each applicant's deadlines and documents and sustain accurate records. Problem-solving skills This is a valuable skill required when addressing special challenges that may occur during the admission process. Admission counsellors usually come across diverse backgrounds among applicants, so they must be resourceful and able to adapt to each situation to find solutions.
