Admission Counselor

As a counselor, your primary responsibilities will vary based on your specific field of expertise, such as school counseling, career counseling, mental health counseling, or rehabilitation counseling. However, in general, your duties will include the following: Providing Guidance & Support: - Assisting individuals in coping with emotional, mental, or behavioral challenges they may be facing - Offering valuable advice on personal, academic, or career-related concerns to help them navigate through difficult situations - Helping clients in decision-making processes and providing effective problem-solving strategies Conducting Assessments & Evaluations: - Conducting thorough assessments of clients" needs by utilizing interviews, tests, or observations - Identifying mental health conditions or personal struggles that clients may be experiencing - Developing personalized treatment or action plans based on the assessments conducted Offering Therapy & Interventions: - Delivering individual or group counseling sessions to address clients" specific needs - Implementing various therapy techniques tailored to meet the unique requirements of each client - Recommending lifestyle adjustments or coping strategies to promote overall well-being Maintaining Confidentiality & Records: - Ensuring meticulous maintenance of detailed and confidential case records for each client - Upholding client privacy in adherence to ethical and legal guidelines governing counseling practices Collaborating with Other Professionals: - Collaborating with teachers, employers, healthcare professionals, and other specialists to provide comprehensive support to clients - Referring clients to relevant specialists or resources when necessary to ensure holistic care Conducting Workshops & Educational Programs: - Organizing informative sessions on topics such as mental health, stress management, career planning, and more to educate and empower individuals Crisis Intervention: - Providing immediate assistance to clients in distress, including those experiencing suicidal thoughts, trauma, or abuse - Connecting clients with emergency resources and support services to ensure their safety and well-being This is a full-time position with benefits including cell phone reimbursement.
