Job Description

Role Overview: You will be working as a Mechanical Integrity / Aeromechanics Engineer at Siemens Energy, where every day will present you with different challenges. Your main responsibilities will involve analyzing and designing hot gas path components for optimization of mechanical integrity and manufacturability. You will collaborate with a global team to support the design and delivery of high-performance large gas turbines. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and design hot gas path components such as blades, vanes, and ring segments for optimization of mechanical integrity and manufacturability in alignment with design requirements and philosophies. - Implement, enhance, and automate advanced mechanical integrity modeling techniques. - Validate computational methods and tools for optimizing gas turbine components. - Process, evaluate, and document primary design tasks and results, ensuring quality through proper design checklists. - Support manufacturing processes, including qualification, production, operation, and issue resolution through design studies and root cause analyses. - Utilize test data and field measurements to enhance analytical predictions related to vibration response, flutter, and forced response. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with at least 7 years of industry experience, including expertise in 3D modeling, analysis, and design. A Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus. - Proficiency in structural (2D, 3D, non-linear), dynamic, aeromechanic, fatigue, and thermal analysis, including hand calculations for simple problems. - Strong knowledge of materials strength, vibration, aeromechanic excitation, and fatigue phenomena. - Skilled in Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS and/or 3D CFD based aeromechanical/aeroelastic analysis.
