Actuarial Staff

As a Senior, Life Actuarial at EY GDS Consulting, you will have the opportunity to contribute to delivering high-quality solutions to leading clients in the insurance sector. You will work closely with other team members across various levels within EY's global network of insurance professionals. Your responsibilities will include: - Responsible for delivering high quality results and generating effective and impactful solutions - Provide focused solutions and training to Staff members - Ensure all engagements are delivered within the specified timeline - Deliver engagements in line with EY's values and commitment to quality, consistently driving projects to completion and ensuring high standards of work To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes: - Good analytical skills - Ability to investigate models/reporting processes and independently solve problems - Hands-on experience in actuarial valuation software Prophet will be an added advantage - Advanced level experience in Prophet will be valuable - Strong experience in Excel is a must, and experience in VBA would be beneficial - In-depth understanding of insurance products and regulations in US/EMEIA/APAC markets - Willingness to learn actively and apply learning in project work - Self-motivation and proactiveness in driving projects - Willingness to travel to meet and work with clients To qualify for this role, you must have: - Preferably 3-6 years of experience - Experience in actuarial reserving and assumption setting - Proficiency in modeling software Ideally, you will also have: - Experience working with Prophet, MG ALFA, GGY Axis, Moses, RAFM, etc. - Knowledge of IFRS 17, US GAAP, Solvency II, and other insurance regulations globally - Preferred Actuarial Degree/Good exam progress - Strong academic background with a bachelor's degree ideally in business, actuarial, or finance related field supplemented ideally with a professional qualification EY is committed to building a better working world by creating long-term value for clients, people, and society.
