We are seeking a skilled Active Directory Support Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting Active Directory environments. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of identity services, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and more in an enterprise setup. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, and operational support of the Active Directory infrastructure. Primary Responsibilities: User Group Management: Maintain and manage user accounts, security groups, and Organizational Units (OUs) in compliance with established standards. Authentication Authorization: Implement and enforce access control policies to secure enterprise resources effectively. Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory-related issues with minimal downtime, ensuring continuous service availability. Access Provisioning Revocation: Handle access requests while ensuring compliance with security policies. GPO Management: Create, maintain, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to standardize security and operational settings across the enterprise. Domain Controller Maintenance: Monitor and manage domain controllers for high availability and optimal performance. Audit Compliance: Conduct regular Active Directory audits to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. Automation Scripting: Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate routine tasks like user/group management and operational workflows. Health Checks: Perform regular health checks using tools such as dcdiag , repadmin , and event logs. FSMO AD Services: Manage FSMO roles, Global Catalog servers, and AD Sites Services to ensure optimal domain performance. Replication DNS Management: Ensure proper Active Directory replication across domain controllers and manage AD-integrated DNS zones, forwarders, and conditional forwarders. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot name resolution issues, stale DNS records, and dynamic updates. DHCP Management (if applicable): Manage DHCP scopes, reservations, and leases within an AD-integrated environment. Performance Monitoring Automation: Use tools like Perfmon , Resource Monitor , and Event Viewer to diagnose and resolve performance issues. Write PowerShell scripts for automation of AD-related tasks. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendor teams to address complex issues and escalations effectively. Required Skills Experience: Strong hands-on experience in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) . Expertise in user account management , security groups , and OU management . In-depth knowledge of LDAP , Kerberos , and NTLM authentication protocols. Experience with Group Policy Management (GPOs) . Familiarity with ITIL processes , including incident and problem management. Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting tasks.
