Job Summary: The Incoming Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of all raw materials, components, and parts received from suppliers before they are released for production. This role ensures that incoming materials meet required specifications and helps maintain consistent product quality throughout the production process. Key Responsibilities: Inspect and verify incoming materials against approved specifications, drawings, and purchase orders. Perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical checks using appropriate inspection tools (vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, etc.). Identify and segregate non-conforming materials; raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and incoming material inspection logs. Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for clarification or corrective action on rejected items. Ensure proper identification and traceability of accepted and rejected materials. Support supplier audits and qualification processes when required. Ensure proper storage and preservation of inspected components as per SOP. Follow all company quality procedures, safety protocols, and 5S standards. Key Skills & Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production, or related field. 1–3 years of experience in incoming inspection or quality control in a manufacturing setup. Knowledge of mechanical drawings and GD&T. Hands-on experience with standard inspection tools and gauges. Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 systems and documentation practices.
