Accounts and Audit Trainee

Overview

An Accountant is a finance professional responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting an organization’s financial information. They ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and provide insights that support financial decision-making. Accountants work across industries, including corporate finance, public accounting, government, and non-profit organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounts.

Preparation of Financial Statements: Compile balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other reports.

Tax Preparation & Compliance: Prepare tax returns, ensure compliance with laws, and provide tax-saving recommendations.

Auditing: Conduct internal audits and support external auditors to ensure processes and records are accurate.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards

Financial Analysis: Provide insights based on financial data

Required Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles

Proficiency in accounting software

Excellent analytical and numerical skills

Strong communication and organizational abilities

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

Knowledge of tax laws, auditing principles, and compliance requirements

Educational Qualifications

Graduate or Post graduate in commerce
