Role & responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations in Tally Prime, including journal entries, ledger management, and reconciliation.

Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) and handle GST-related queries.

Ensure timely and accurate filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) and other statutory compliances.

Maintain and reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and debtor accounts.

Handle accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payment follow-ups.

Prepare MIS reports, financial statements, and analysis using Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas).

Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance checks.

Maintain proper records for TDS, advance tax, and other direct tax matters.

Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities whenever required.

Strong knowledge of ITR filing and GST laws.

Proficiency in Tally Prime for accounting and reporting.

Advanced skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Data Analysis, etc.).

Good understanding of accounting standards and financial principles.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent).

Professional certification (CA/Inter CA/CS/CMA) would be an added advantage.

Minimum [3 to 5 years] of relevant work experience in accounting and taxation.
