Customer-to-Cash (C2C)
-Ensure correct classification of GST (CGST, SGST, IGST, UTGST) based on place of supply.
-Post customer receipts, perform cash application, and carry out daily cash and bank reconciliations.
-Monitor daily cash deposits and ensure timely accounting.
-Maintain and update records for cash floats, petty cash, and imprest accounts.
-Record accounts receivable, commissions, and charges; monitor aging reports and follow up on collections.
-Perform customer ledger reconciliations and resolve billing or commission discrepancies.
-Prepare periodic accounts receivable reports and MIS.
Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
-Process supplier invoices in compliance with Indian GST laws, including validation of GSTIN, HSN/SAC codes, and tax rates.
-Perform 3-way matching (PO, GRN, Invoice) for trade and non-trade purchases and resolve variances.
-Record and process payments for rent, administration, legal, marketing, trade licenses, HR, and other operating expenses.
-Maintain vendor master data including GST registration details, PAN, bank account details, and contact information.
-Ensure eligibility and proper accounting of Input Tax Credit (ITC) and track ineligible ITC.
Prepare supplier payment runs as per credit terms and obtain necessary approvals.
Perform periodic vendor reconciliations and obtain balance confirmations.
Record-to-Report (R2R)
-Post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments.
-Support month-end and year-end closing activities within defined timelines.
-Prepare and finalize Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements with supporting schedules.
-Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation as per the Companies Act, 2013 and company policy.
-Assist in general ledger scrutiny, variance analysis, and management reporting.
-Perform reconciliation of GST control accounts and follow up on mismatches.
-Maintain proper documentation for GST audits, departmental notices, and assessments.
-Ensure accurate GST treatment for sales, purchases, imports, reverse charge mechanism (RCM), and expenses.
-Support statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
-Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with internal controls.
-Use MS Excel extensively for reconciliations, data analysis, and reporting.
-Use MS Word and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
-Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
-Experience in retail and distribution accounting is preferred.
-Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and Indian accounting standards.
-High attention to detail and accuracy.
-Ability to meet strict deadlines, especially during month-end and statutory closures.
-Good communication and coordination skills.
-Team-oriented with a proactive learning mindset.
-Timely processing of AR, AP, and GL transactions.
-On-time cash and bank reconciliations.
-Accuracy of reconciliations and GST postings.
-Timely support for month-end and statutory closings.
