Accountant

Role Overview: As an Accountant, your role will involve preparing budget forecasts and financial statements, publishing financial statements in a timely manner, reconciling bank statements, and performing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. You will be responsible for computing taxes, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, you will audit financial transactions and documents to maintain accuracy, reinforce financial data confidentiality, and conduct database backups when necessary. Managing balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and participating in financial standards setting and the forecast process will also be part of your responsibilities. Providing support during external and internal audits and offering financial insights and recommendations to management are key aspects of this role. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare budget forecasts and financial statements. - Publish financial statements in a timely manner. - Reconcile bank statements and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. - Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. - Audit financial transactions and documents to ensure accuracy. - Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary. - Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions. - Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements. - Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process. - Provide support during external and internal audits. - Provide financial insights and recommendations to management. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 1 or 2 years of proven experience as an Accountant. - Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP. - Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle. - Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.,
