Accountancy teacher

The Indian Public School, Coimbatore is seeking a passionate and competent Accountancy Teacher to join our Secondary and Senior Secondary teaching team. The role requires a strong command over the subject and a flair for delivering structured, engaging, and concept-driven lessons to students pursuing Cambridge AS & A Levels and other relevant programmes.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Deep understanding of financial accounting, cost accounting and management accounting
• Expertise in Cambridge AS/A Level Accountancy curriculum and assessment standards
• Familiarity with CBSE/ISC/State Board commerce syllabuses and evaluation techniques
• Ability to bridge foundational concepts with advanced application
• Experience in board exam preparation and exam-focused mentoring
• Strong lesson planning aligned with learning outcomes and assessment objectives
• Skill in scaffolding complex topics for mixed-ability learners
• Experience using real-world case studies, financial documents and simulations in teaching
• Capacity to develop revision strategies, concept recap tools and structured exam-prep plans
• Designing and grading assessments aligned with curriculum benchmarks
• Experience in crafting analytical, long-form and case-based accounting questions
• Providing targeted feedback that improves student performance
• Familiarity with tools like rubrics, progress trackers and grade moderation protocols
• Proficient in using MS Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modelling basics for classroom application
• Experience with LMS platforms like Google Classroom, Moodle or Teams
• Ability to use EdTech tools for interactive and asynchronous learning (e.g., Kahoot, Quizizz, Padlet)
• Strong communication and academic writing skills
• Data-driven and reflective teaching approach
• Collaborative mindset and openness to continuous professional development
• Time management and deadline orientation, especially around assessments and reports
• Active contributor to department meetings, curriculum reviews and school-level academic planning

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
