Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to independently manage accounting operations, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, ensuring timely GST and TDS filings, managing payables and receivables, monitoring project costs, and preparing monthly MIS reports.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain complete books of accounts in Tally Prime and Zoho Books.
• Handle sales, purchase, journal, bank, and cash entries.
• Perform monthly bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, provisions, accruals, and depreciation.

2. GST Compliance

• Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-9/9C, as applicable.
• Reconcile input tax credit with GSTR-2A/2B and resolve vendor discrepancies.
• Generate e-invoices and e-way bills as required.
• Manage multi-state GST compliance across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Haryana.
• Coordinate responses to GST notices.

3. TDS Compliance

• Calculate and deduct TDS on vendor, contractor, professional, rent, and salary payments, as applicable.
• Ensure timely TDS deposits and quarterly return filings, including Forms 24Q and 26Q.
• Issue Form 16 and Form 16A.
• Resolve TRACES defaults and TDS-related discrepancies.

4. ROC & Statutory Compliance

• Coordinate with the Company Secretary and Statutory Auditor for ROC filings and statutory requirements.
• Maintain statutory records and supporting documentation.

5. Payables, Receivables & Project Costing

• Verify vendor and subcontractor bills against purchase orders, work orders, and site measurements.
• Prepare payment schedules and monitor client receivables, RA bills, and retention money.
• Track project-wise costs against budgets.
• Process employee expense claims and reimbursements.

6. Payroll Support

• Coordinate with HR for monthly payroll inputs.
• Support PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and salary TDS compliance.
• Ensure accurate accounting of payroll-related entries.

7. MIS Reporting & Audit

• Prepare monthly MIS reports covering P&L, cash flow, receivables ageing, payables ageing, and project profitability.
• Support statutory, tax, and internal audits.
• Assist with income tax return filing and advance tax calculations in coordination with the CA.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com; CA Inter / CMA Inter Dropout preferred.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and statutory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Companies Act, 2013.
• Hands-on experience with both Tally Prime and Zoho Books.
• Working knowledge of GST, TRACES, Income Tax, and MCA portals.
• Good MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet statutory deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in construction, interior fit-out, or project-based companies.
• Knowledge of RA billing, retention money, and subcontractor accounting.
• Exposure to multi-location and multi-GSTIN accounting.
