Job Description

About the role: Accounts Executive will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily showroom transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with jewellery industry billing systems, and coordination with sales and inventory teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

Record day-to-day financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments).

Maintain ledgers and ensure all entries are accurate and up to date.

Prepare and post journal entries in accounting software (e.g., Tally).

Manage petty cash and showroom expenses.

2. Billing & Sales Reconciliation

Prepare GST-compliant invoices for jewellery sales (gold, diamond, silver, etc.).

Reconcile daily cash, card, UPI, and online transactions with POS reports.

Verify sales vouchers, credit notes, and discounts applied by sales staff.

3. Inventory & Stock Coordination

Coordinate with the inventory team to match purchase/sale entries with stock movement.

Assist in stock audits and valuation of jewellery inventory.

Monitor gold rate adjustments and maintain price variation records.

4. Taxation & Compliance

Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliance reports.

Support external audits and respond to auditor queries.

Maintain records for hallmarking, purchase invoices, and supplier payments.

5. Banking & Vendor Management

Handle bank deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations.

Prepare vendor payment schedules and ensure timely settlements.

Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices and payment discrepancies.

Candidate Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or related field.

2–4 years of experience in accounting (preferably in jewellery industry).

Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and GST compliance.

Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Knowledge of jewellery industry billing, hallmarking, and inventory systems is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
