Accordion India-AI Application Agent Developer

Role Overview :

The AI Application Agent Developer will operate as part of Accordions centralized AI Agent Development team, with an initial focus on Glean Agent Development. This role is critical to building intelligent, context-aware agents that connect people, data, and processes across the enterprise. The Analyst will design, configure, and deploy agents that enhance search, automation, and knowledge retrievalturning unstructured and structured data into actionable insights. Over time, this position will expand into other no-code and low-code AI agent development platforms as the enterprise AI ecosystem evolves. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with an understanding of AI contextualization, data indexing, and business process optimization. They are problem solvers who think creatively, challenge assumptions, and collaborate across teams to bring AI capabilities to life.

What You will do:

AI Agent Design & Development :

• Design, configure, and deploy Glean Agents that automate tasks, surface insights, and enhance enterprise search and productivity.

• Collaborate with AI Enablement and Data teams to ensure agents are properly contextualized through indexed data and relevant metadata.

• Continuously test, refine, and improve agent logic, relevance scoring, and workflow automation.

• Develop reusable agent templates and frameworks for cross-departmental use.

Data & Contextualization :

• Work with data engineers to ensure structured and unstructured data are properly indexed for AI use.

• Design contextual frameworks to ensure agents respond accurately based on business specific data and user intent.

• Understand and apply principles of vector search, semantic retrieval, and knowledge graph alignment.

Process & Solution Development :

• Partner with business process owners to map workflows and identify automation or augmentation opportunities.

• Translate business requirements into AI agent capabilities using Gleans configuration and API layers.

• Ensure scalability and maintainability of agent configurations and integrations.

Collaboration & Documentation :

• Work closely with AI Enablement, BI, and Enterprise Applications teams to ensure consistency across systems.

• Create documentation for each agent, including configuration, purpose, data sources, and key business outcomes.

• Provide feedback to improve internal frameworks for AI agent lifecycle management.

Ideally, you have:

• 25 years of experience in software engineering, AI application development, or automation workflows.

• Experience with no-code/low-code platforms, API integrations, or AI assistant/agent design (Glean, OpenAI, Dialogflow, or similar).

• Strong understanding of AI fundamentals, including contextualization, data embedding, and knowledge retrieval.

• Demonstrated ability to translate business processes into technical workflows and AI capabilities.

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or SQL preferred; comfort with REST APIs and JSON required.

• Understanding of data models, data governance, and security concepts.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and creative thinking in solution design.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
