3D / Omniverse Engineer

Role Purpose

The 3D / Omniverse Engineer will be responsible for building visually compelling, high-performance 3D Digital Twins using NVIDIA Omniverse. This role focuses on converting complex CAD data into optimized, interactive USD-based scenes that enable intuitive exploration and analysis of industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert

  Siemens NX CAD models to USD

  with appropriate geometry simplification, decimation, and

  Levels of Detail (LODs)

  .
• Design and structure

  USD scenes by subsystem

  , ensuring modularity, reusability, and scalability.
• Implement interactive 3D features, including:
  
• Subsystem selection and isolation
• Exploded and reassembled views
• Object highlighting, annotations, and labeling
• Optimize 3D assets and scene graphs for

  real-time performance

  , including

  web and streaming delivery

  where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with backend, simulation, and UI teams to ensure seamless integration into Digital Twin platforms.
• Maintain visual consistency, naming standards, and asset organization across large industrial models.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in

  3D visualization or real-time graphics engineering

  .
• Strong expertise in

  NVIDIA Omniverse

  and

  USD (Universal Scene Description)

  workflows.
• Proven experience building

  CAD-to-visual pipelines

  , especially for industrial or manufacturing assets.
• Solid understanding of

  scene optimization

  , mesh reduction, instancing, and draw-call minimization.
• Strong sense of

  visual hierarchy, UX, and usability

  for complex industrial systems.

Good to Have

• Experience with

  web-based 3D delivery

  (e.g., WebRTC streaming, WebGL-based viewers).
• Familiarity with scripting in

  Python

  for asset automation and pipeline tooling.
• Exposure to

  Digital Twin

  , simulation, or industrial IoT platforms.
• Knowledge of real-time rendering concepts (PBR materials, lighting, shaders)
