CRANE OPERATOR

All candidates must have Oil & Gas Maintenance experience in GULF countries.

3.6.3 Education Twelve (12 years) of school education.

3.6.4 Experience Ten (10) years minimum in the operation and maintenance of material handling equipment, cranes, trucks and forklift.

Certified from QatarEnergy approved TPI (Third Party Inspection Agency) and subsequently stamped and endorsed by PTS team.

Crane operator must have approval certificate of training from crane OEM, in case not available the contractor must arrange for the same.

3.6.5 Age limit Not over the age of Fifty-three (53) years.

3.6.1 Primary Purpose of the SERVICES

- Drive and operate various sizes of hydraulic mobile cranes (30 tons and above), and trucks at the assigned areas.

- Assist Qatar Energy's Operation and Maintenance Personnel in the lifting, transportation and replacement of heavy equipment's, pipes, valves, vessels and other machineries.

- Carry out routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs for cranes and associated equipment

3.6.2 Summary of Major Duties and Responsibilities

- Receive instructions from his supervisor, collect rigging equipment's and tackles (strings, hooks and lifting basket) visit the work site to decide the correct location and crane positioning.

- Read crane chart and determine the safe working load and understand hand crane signal.

- Carry out routine daily maintenance checks on the material handling equipment.

- Observe safety in operating the material handling equipment to ensure no damage will occur for personnel and equipment during the lifting operation

- Should possess a valid local Qatari heavy-duty license to operate and drive heavy-duty cranes up to 200-ton capacity telescopic type crane trucks, subject to QatarEnergy review and approval.

- Follow up the permit system for safe working condition.
